About Ethereum
Ethereum is account-based (as opposed to Bitcoin\'s UTXO model), with 12-second block times post-Merge. The native asset ETH pays for gas on the base layer; ERC-20 tokens (USDT, USDC, LINK, and thousands more) settle on the same ledger. Ethereum is the most privacy-leaky of the major chains — every account has a full, permanent history on any block explorer.
On SwapNoKYC, ETH is a sending asset (you hold ETH and want something else) or a receiving asset (you want to get into the Ethereum ecosystem). Both are one-click.
How to swap Ethereum without KYC
- Withdraw ETH to a self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Frame, or hardware wallet).
- Open the widget, pick ETH → your destination.
- Paste the destination address. For ERC-20 receive addresses, the receiving token dictates the chain — pay attention to the network shown in the widget.
- Send ETH to the single-use deposit address. Two confirmations typical for exchange-safe settlement.
Ethereum gas and timing
ETH gas fees vary with demand — $2–$20 equivalent typical. The widget shows the minimum swap amount live, which accounts for the sending-leg gas cost. For small swaps, the Arbitrum / Base / Optimism L2s are drastically cheaper; we support L2-native routes directly without a bridge.
Ethereum privacy notes
- Wallet hygiene. Don\'t reuse the wallet you used for KYC\'d activities for privacy-sensitive swaps. A dedicated "clean" wallet is worth the overhead.
- Tornado Cash is sanctioned. Don\'t route through OFAC-sanctioned mixers; the on-chain taint follows.
- ETH → XMR severs the graph. One of the cleanest privacy moves is a non-custodial ETH → XMR swap followed by a XMR → BTC hop when liquidity is needed.

Popular Ethereum routes: ETH → BTC, ETH → XMR, ETH → USDT, ETH → SOL, ETH → Arbitrum. Every route has a dedicated landing page with live rate.
